AI Checkout for WooCommerce prepares your store for the OpenAI Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP), the standard that powers ChatGPT Instant Checkout. The plugin readies the product feed, payment path, webhook delivery, and conformance checks that the OpenAI merchant application requires.

Requirements

• WooCommerce installed and active.
• WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 8.0 or newer.
• An active SSL certificate (HTTPS) on the storefront. The plugin rejects ACP requests over plain HTTP outside test mode and on non-localhost installs.
• The official WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin, configured with your Stripe account. Stripe is currently the only ACP payment provider.
• Administrator access to WooCommerce, product data, and plugin settings.
• Business, product, shipping, return, and privacy policy information ready for review.

A note on eligibility

OpenAI currently approves verified U.S.-based merchants for live ChatGPT Instant Checkout. The plugin itself runs anywhere, and you can complete the entire integration and conformance flow in test mode before applying. Live ChatGPT orders require OpenAI merchant approval.

Install the plugin

1. Install AI Checkout for WooCommerce from the WordPress plugin repository, or upload the ZIP from Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin.
2. Activate the plugin.
3. Open the AI Checkout admin menu and start with the Application Wizard.
